John Sutton - awards
John Sutton is a graduate of Ryerson University in Film and Photography.
John began his career working as a producer for commercials. His clients have included: Lexus, Bacardi, Canac Kitchens, Cantel, Ontario Hydro, Hudson’s Bay and Shell Canada.
In 1993 John produced “Small Pleasures” a full length feature film which premiered at the
Toronto International Film Festival and was later broadcast on CBC
Lately John’s career has taken him back to his original passion, photography. His work
has been featured in Art Auctions, and several of his pieces hang in private collections.
John has photographed The Danny Grossman Dance Troupe and Jen Swan Studio
Dancers at the Talbot Theatre. He has photographed for stage, dance, theatre, commercial
products and artistic portfolios and actors.
John is an award-wining photographer whose work was most recently recognized by The City of London and the University of Western Ontario’s MacIntosh Gallery's ‘Open Air III'. “The Dancer” was installed on the façade of Kingmill’s on Dundas Street.
John’s commercial work has been used by local, national and internationally recognized business including the Canadian Home Shopping Channel.
His fine art photography hangs in private collections in several cities in Canada such as Toronto, London and Calgary.
